Meeting the RSHE needs of pupils with SEND is a requirement for both mainstream and special schools. A series of teacher-led, specialist webinars are running throughout the Spring term taking a SEND focused lens to a range of key topics:
- Consent & touch: younger learners – 21 January 2021
- Consent & touch for learners with PMLD / CLDD – 10 February 2021
- Preparing for adulthood – 25 February 2021
- SEND inclusive RSE in mainstream settings – 3 March 2021
The Sex Education Forum’s one-day ‘Get Ready for Statutory: SEND’ is next running on 3 February 2021. This provides a broad introduction to SEND inclusive RSE / RSHE. It is an ideal foundation course for teachers and leaders working with learners with additional needs.
