S175/157 Audit

Applies to-All schools

The S175/157 Audit will take place as usual during the Autumn term.  The audit template will be sent out to all schools on 1st November for completion by 12th December.  This year will be an interim audit.  However a full audit will also be available for any schools who wish to complete this instead.  The school’s 2017-18 Action Plan will also be sent out with the audit.  For those schools who did not provide an update on their actions these must be submitted along with the S175/157 Audit return.  We aim to return action plans for 2018-19 in February.  This will be dependent upon schools submitting their audits by the December deadline.  The outcome of the audits is reported directly to the LSCB, including updates on action plans.

This year we will be specifically asking schools for details of any Alternative Provision they commission.  As a reminder, should you commission any alternative provision, your school is responsible for the quality assurance of this provision.  The S175/157 Audit will ask for evidence of the quality assurance undertaken.  For example, how you ensure that safer recruitment practices are followed, safeguarding policies are up to date and staff have received training at the appropriate level.
