Dear Colleagues
The North West Learning Partnership (formerly St Helen’s TSA) in association with Best Practice Network (BPN) is offering the DSBM qualification for School Business Managers.
Who is this for?
The Level 4 DSBM is part of a suite of school business management qualifications. The programme is designed for existing and aspiring school business managers who wish to enhance both their leadership, management and administrative skills together and their knowledge and understanding of key areas of school business management through a professional qualification.

For DSBM, the application deadline will be:
- 6 December 2019 – for all courses that will start in February/March 2020
- 17 July 2020 – for all courses that will start autumn term 2020
Following these deadlines, BPN will allocate applicants and tutors to the best-fitting groups and venues.

Mental Health and Well being Network

Dear Colleagues
The North West Learning Partnership would like to offer all schools the chance to attend our first Mental Health and Well Being network meeting.
This meeting is FREE of Charge to ALL schools. We can accommodate 20 schools, places will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
Focus for the meeting will be:
- School Mental Health Award
Starting out – journey to achieving School Mental Health Award including using this network to meet criteria of Award on collaboration and sharing best practice. - Staff well being
findings of recent research
Are we paying lip service, just a sticking plaster or effective practice? - Developing role of specialist leads in school
what do we want/need and how do we do it? - An opportunity to network with like minded professionals
As Strategic Partners with the Carnegie Centre of Excellence in School Mental Health, schools will be invited to participate in research projects.
The meeting will take place on Tuesday 10 December 2019, 1-3pm at St Mary & St Thomas CE Primary School, Barton Close, St Helens, WA10 2HS– located in the POD behind the school.
Target audience: Pastoral staff, SLT members/designated officers and/or teachers leading Mental Health and well being in schools.
