The DfE have recently announced the introduction of Behaviour Hub schools as part of their £10 million programme to improve behaviour in schools. It is being spearheaded by Tom Bennett, the DfE’s behaviour advisor.

The programme will recruit up to 20 schools in the first round and aim to recruit 500 schools over 3 years. The first round of schools will begin work with their partner schools in September 2020.

The criteria for the Behaviour Hubs is very stringent. If you are interested in applying for the first application round, applications have to be submitted before 31st March 2020. All information can be found here with page 18 referring to the eligibility criteria.

HBSS are more than happy to support schools who are considering applying for this exciting development in DfE behaviour policy and practice. I can be contacted at Vanessa.nice@halton.gov.uk or on 0151 522 8905
