Let’s talk about flu

Applies to-All schools

The flu virus starts circulating at different times each year, but typically begins towards the end of December/early January.

To help dispel some of the myths that surround the flu vaccinations, we have created a number of short animations, which have been

published over social media – please feel free to share with colleagues and parents as appropriate:

The key to fighting sepsis is awareness

Applies to-All schools

We have exciting news that we want to share with you! We have recently launched our Schools against Sepsis awareness campaign in collaboration with Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation.

Our aim is to educate Key Stage 2 school children and their families about sepsis. Our campaign is supported by TV paediatrician Dr Ranj and actor Warwick Davis.

We have developed a number of Schools against Sepsis resources that are available to schools for FREE.

We want as many schools as possible in the country to be downloading the resources, delivering the lesson plan, and sharing our potentially lifesaving information about sepsis.

If you are a parent or carer of children, you can help us in our mission by visiting MailScanner has detected a possible fraud attempt from “eur04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com” claiming to be www.sepsistrust.org/schools and downloading the letter that we created for you to send to your local primary school. The letter encourages the school to get involved with our campaign and help protect their staff, pupils and their families.

If you want to find out about more about Schools against Sepsis, please email schools@sepsistrust.org or call us on 0800 389 6255.

Thank you for your continued support!
