Equipment Audit September 2021-April 2022

Equipment Audit September 2021-April 2022

Dear Colleagues,

Many of you may recall back in 2018, we developed an Equipment Policy in the prep for introducing an new equipment process however, due to a number of reasons the roll-out of this stalled.

With the launch of the new SEND Strategy 2021-2025, the SEND Strategic Partnership is fully committed to progress this work through to implementation to better support children and young people 0-25 years.

We have met with the management of the Bridgewater NHS Equipment Store which has moved to Warrington to discuss initial thoughts on the arrangements for the process.  To progress this further we need to be able to identify the scope (amount and type) of the equipment that you have currently in use and not used/stored, so that we can consider the storage we will require and also what might be involved in terms of recycling and/or disposal of equipment etc.

Could you please complete the attached updated Equipment Audit 2022 for the current academic year September 2021 (Table 1 is for equipment and Table 2 for seating/chairs).

The equipment listed on the form is not meant to be an exhaustive list, you should add in any other equipment not identified that is in use or stored.

This audit is to find out about all equipment items irrespective of funding sources or budgets used to purchase them.

If you are unsure of any items, please send in a photo(s) and we will ask the OTs to identify the equipment or parts/accessories for you.

Once we have collated the audit information we will be able to put a plan in place so that we can let you know more about this.

The deadline for returning the equipment audit is Tuesday 10 May 2022.

If you have any queries please contact Tracy Ryan, tracy.ryan@halton.gov.uk or Tel: 0151 511 8661

Geographical Association WorldWise Week resources 2022

The Geographical Association’s WorldWise Week resource pack 2022 is now available for all school on the Geographical Association website. You can find it in two places:

The Geographical Association’s Worldwise resource pack annually supports all curriculum leaders, teachers, young people and students to engage in a wide range of suggested geographcial activities. This year’s resource pack is now live on the GA website using either link above.  Identifying a week in which to engage with the resources provides schools with a way to show case geography to the whole school, parents and carers, governors and the local community. Clearly though, schools can use them at any time. Over 10 years of previous week’s resources are also available for all schools at the first link above. As Co-Chair of the Worldwise Board, if you have any queries, please do contact myself, mark.higginbottom@halton.gov.uk
