Do you know an amazing woman who lives/works/volunteers/studies in Halton?

The categories are:

  1. Female Volunteer of the Year
  2. Outstanding young woman (Any age up to 18yrs)
  3. Female Entrepreneur/Business Woman of the Year
  4. Shining Light – someone who has nurtured a woman to success (men can be nominated for this award)
  5. Going the Extra Mile – someone who has gone above and beyond in sport or physical activity – this can be in a professional or voluntary capacity.

The deadline is the 30 September 2019 and you can nominate in as many categories as you want. Tell us why they deserve a nomination in as much detail as possible and leave your contact details because, if your nominee is shortlisted, you will be informed and, like them, you will be invited to the award ceremony on Saturday 12 October 2019 7pm at The Studio, Widnes

This is the first time these awards have been organised and Fortuna Female Society are hoping this event will become an annual celebration of all the amazing women in Halton.

Multi-use games area Egerton Street

Applies to-All schools

Please be aware that the play area (MUGA) located on Egerton Street, Runcorn is closed until Mid-January 2020, due to demolition work in the area, as part of the Runcorn Station Quarter road improvement works. Please advise children and young people not to play in this area for their own safety.

 


 

 

Islamic resources to engage and inspire pupils

Many  schools are developing their range of Islamic resources to engage and inspire pupils during RE lessons – artefacts and special objects provide a hands-on linteractive learning experience for pupils.

If you would like to add to your collection of Islamic artefacts, Muslim Learner Services have a collection of over twenty artefacts that are important to Muslims  – no payment is required at this stage and delivery is free.

Road Safety Week November 

 

Beep Beep! Days with Timmy Time are a great opportunity for early year’s educators to introduce 2-7 year olds to road safety basics, with fun activities and resources provided by Brake.

You can register for your free action pack and get involved during Road Safety Week 2019. The pack includes lots of fun road safety activities or purchase a bumper pack (£11.50 +VAT) for more reusable, laminated road safety activities, certificates and stickers!
