English National Opera Does Eurovsion.

Open Rehearsal

12.15pm -1.15pm on Tuesday 9th May

The Eurovision Village, Pier Head, Liverpool L3 1DP

FREE

You are invited!

EuroFestival presents a very special opportunity for local schools to get a first look at world class opera and Eurovision stars on stage at the Eurovision Village as part of Liverpool’s City Celebrations. This is a unique and rare opportunity to see the internationally renowned English National Opera for free in Liverpool, an occasion not to be missed.

Two very different musical worlds: one epic outdoor performance. The world-renowned ENO Chorus and Orchestra, conducted by Stephen Bell, are joined by former Eurovision contestants and international opera stars to perform classical arrangements of some of the Song Contest’s greatest hits. Expect bright costumes, rousing choirs, a full orchestra, fabulous divas and sing-along tunes.

Winning Eurovision songs, interval acts like Riverdance and Eurovision’s long-standing theme music – Charpentier’s Te Deum – are given the orchestral treatment. Joyful, moving and loud, this project promises to capture the spirit of Eurovision perfectly.

Poverty proofing workshops

We are running a daily workshop from Monday 15 May to Friday 19  May. The workshop is for 60 minutes and is aimed at developing further understanding and confidence around the impact that poverty has for children and young people, in particular with a long term health condition, such as Asthma, Diabetes or Epilepsy. The workshop is the same every day, but we thought we would run this daily, to really reach out to the workforce that have contact with children, young people and their families and have time to think about poverty literacy and then poverty proofing the health setting.

Places are free, but limited and are bookable through the flyer (attached) via NHS events.
