Maths Hub Launch Event
Applies to-All schools
Dear Colleagues
NW Maths Hub 3 and AMSP will be hosting a FREE launch event with Bobby Seagull on Wednesday 17th July 11.45- 4.00pm at the University of Liverpool.
The new Ofsted School Inspection handbook states that:
‘all teachers of mathematics, including non-specialist teachers of mathematics, have sufficient mathematical and teaching content knowledge to deliver topics effectively’
This is the perfect time to attend our FREE afternoon event and is for all teachers that are interested in developing their own and their departments’ knowledge and delivery of KS2/3 transition, GCSE, A level, Further or Core Maths. The Advanced Maths Support Programme and Maths Hubs have so much PD on offer it can be overwhelming to work out what would be best for you and your department. This engaging event is your opportunity to make the most of what is out there.
In addition to this you will get the opportunity to hear from three engaging speakers from the world of maths education one of which is Bobby Seagull. Bobby is a Secondary School Maths teacher, a doctoral student at the University of Cambridge researching maths anxiety and phobia, quiz enthusiast, writes for the Financial Times, is author of The Life-Changing Magic of Numbers and ambassador for National Numeracy.
