Authentic Islam teaching

Applies to-All Primary schools

As it is unlikely that schools will be able to invite external faith visitors or visit places of worship until the foreseeable future, IslamREsources.Co.Uk is continuing to support Primary school RE teachers with high-quality and authentic Islam teaching and learning materials.

Primary schools will benefit from on-going online subject support and have full access to Islam CPD content, PowerPoint Presentations on key topics, authentic Islam stories, worksheets, activities, quizzes, links to Islam videos and more…

All our resources have been checked and approved by Muslim Learner Services.

To ensure all schools can benefit from the resources,  an annual subscription for primary schools starts at just £30, which is excellent value for money – in return for full and unlimited access to all our Islam resources. Over a hundred schools have already subscribed. Schools can subscribe here

Primary and secondary teacher training on humanism for RE

Are you confident enough in your understanding of humanism to teach it in the classroom?

At Understanding Humanism, the education branch of Humanists UK, we offer training for teachers at both primary and secondary level to deepen your subject knowledge of humanism (a non-religious worldview) and support you with practical ideas for the classroom.

We offer online training for schools, universities, and organisations as part of initial teacher training (ITT) or for continued professional development (CPD).

Understanding Humanism Primary Teacher Training
Date:
Tuesday 20 October
Time: 16:00–17:30
Price: £20.00 pp

Understanding Humanism Secondary Teacher Training
Date:
 Thursday 22 October
Time: 16:00–17:30
Price: £20.00 pp

That’s just £20 for 90 minutes of CPD and countless hours of great teaching and learning in your classroom!

You can also email us at education@humanism.org.uk to arrange online training specifically for your school, university, or organisation.

Humanism is a non-religious worldview held by millions of people in the UK. Including non-religious worldviews in RE supports young people to develop a deeper knowledge about the wider spectrum of religion and belief. The 2019 report by the Commission on RE called for the full inclusion of humanism in Religious Education.
