Loneliness Campaign
Applies to-All Primary Schools
As part of our ongoing campaign against loneliness #HaltOnLoneliness we are running a ‘March Against Loneliness’ Campaign in the month of March. We want to invite primary schools who take part in the daily mile scheme to dedicate their daily mile activities in March to this campaign and share photos of their class getting involved to raise the awareness of loneliness.

Draw your favourite place- a competition from the Halton Fostering Team
The Halton fostering team launched a competition this month, hoping to softly engage primary school pupils in an important subject in a creative way. We’re asking children to draw their favourite place for a chance to win up to £50 vouchers.
The winning drawing will be used in a “school friendly” fostering poster in upcoming advertising campaigns, the winning school will be appear on the posters and feature in a press release sent out to regional media.
We’ve already visited every primary school in Halton to drop off a competition pack, but you can download the contents below;
- Competition entry sheet for pupils (including terms and conditions) attached
- Explanation sheet for school staff (including an example lesson plan) attached
- Take home sheet for parents attached

Dance Company Allegrodance

Tuesday 11 February, the much respected dance company Allegrodance return to the Brindley Theatre, Runcorn with their adaptation of the story of Beauty & the Beast.
Allegrodance will present a show case of new and varied dance works, and a performance of Beauty and the Beast. This version is based on the traditional fairy tale, but sees Belle’s father as an author forced to travel a far to sell his books. Savaged by wolves, he stumbles across the Beast’s castle.
Allegrodance Touring Company takes dance to the community and aims to raise the quality of arts education amongst young people through innovative performances.
