Insurance Payments

When processing invoices for Insurance Payments via Agresso please do not treat IPT Tax in the same way as you would treat VAT as this is not VAT it is Insurance Premium Tax.  The correct way to apply VAT codes to invoice transactions of this nature is as follows:

The Insurance Premium should be coded as T3 (exempt)

The IPT Tax should be coded to your budget and the tax code T4 (outside the scope) should be used.

If you have any questions related to VAT then please feel free to contact Eve Turkington via email – eve.turkington@halton.gov.uk.
