Road Safety presentation

 

Primary schools – Road Safety presentation from Sir Robert McApline(SRM)/Amey Group

SRM/AMEY group are building the new bridge over the M56 in Runcorn. They will be working in the borough until March 2023 and would like to support schools in the area while they are here.

Secondary Education Capital Programme (10 June)

 

Wolfson Foundation’s Secondary Education Capital Programme (10 June)

  • Grant – Secondary schools and colleges can apply for a grant of up to £100,000 to improve the teaching of science, computer science, design & technology, art, languages, music and performing arts at GCSE and A-Level
  • Date(s) – The closing date for stage 1 applications is the 10th June 2022. Schools and Colleges successful at this stage will have until the 15th July 2022 to submit their stage-two application

Grants are generally awarded towards new builds, refurbishment and technical equipment. To be eligible schools must be state-funded, have at least two years of exam results available and have been inspected by Ofsted/Estyn/HMIE/ETI and have an overall outcome of ‘Good’ or above. There is a two-stage application process.

Halton Adult Learning are now taking bookings for a Childcare information session where LCR residents Aged 19 and above can find out more about our two Childcare courses that are starting soon: Please see attached

Healthy Child Newsletter: May 2022

The Ropewalk Exhibition

Please see attached information about The Ropewalk Exhibition at Heritage HQ, St Maries Church, Lugsdale Road, Widnes.

The exhibition runs from Saturday 12 June to Sunday 26 June (excluding Sunday 19 June). This project is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
