Summer events at Halton Libraries
Halton Libraries is excited to announce our Summer Events for 2024; please see attached flyer. The theme for summer is the creative arts and as well as celebrating reading through the Summer Reading Challenge: Marvellous Makers, we will be running lots of creative events. Our events are all themed around Fairy Tales, with one or a few fairy tales each week, as you will see from the flyer. All events are free. Some are bookable and others are drop-in session. Our usual events, Rhymetime, Lego and Brilliant Builds are on at their usual timeslot each week – see our website for more details: What’s on | Halton Libraries (haltonbc.info) and you can find details about how to sign up the Summer Reading challenge here: Summer Reading Challenge | Halton Libraries (haltonbc.info). I hope you’ll be able to send out this flyer to families via your usual comms methods/on the end of term newsletter. I have also included a poster to promote the Summer Reading Challenge for display in your school/to send home. Just a reminder that the school that gets the most completers this year will win a big bundle of books for their school (one for Widnes, one for Runcorn) so please continue to encourage your pupils to take part. They can sign up any time from Saturday 13th July. Here is the link to the promotional video if you’d like to show it in assembly – it has everything you need to know on it: Halton Libraries Summer Reading Challenge 2024 (youtube.com)
Many thanks Emma Boone, Children and Families Development Officer, Halton Libraries.
